Curriculum vitae
Elias Koulamas was borne in Athens in 1967. He studied to
become an Electrician at the Technological Institute (T.E.I.)
in Athens (1984-1988) and Sound Engineer at A.V.R. private
school (1992-1994).
He worked as a Sound Engineer for Ellada Fm Radio Station
and Antenna Fm Radio Station (1991-1995) and filming
documentaries.
He also worked as a film editor (video) in private studios
working on the montage of documentaries for the Greek
television (E.R.T.) and the Greek Organization of Tourism, E.O.T. (1996-1999).
At the same time he starts studying and working on the
traditional methods of restoring wooden furniture.
In 2000 he settles in Hania, Crete. He becomes really
interested in nature and tradition and starts providing
incomparable gilding and decorative services.
He also takes pictures of landscapes and old buildings
(indoor and outdoor).
His work is based, on traditional techniques respecting both
the objects and the people.
All the same time he attends seminars on Roman mosaic (2003)
and Byzantine icons-painting (2005).
